Our Story
Born from a vision to create a vibrant student hub, the Break Room transformed from a traditional campus pub into a modern arcade, café, and social space. Renovated and reimagined during the pandemic, it was designed by York students, for York students, combining bold colours, fast-casual food, and the latest games.
Today, the Break Room is where thousands of students come to compete, connect, and celebrate. Whether it’s grabbing a bite, challenging friends to a game of table tennis, or hosting an event that fills the room, the Break Room is more than a space; it’s part of your York experience.
